What is your sporting background?

I used to play hockey for Lichfield Hockey Club, reaching the Men's 3rds in my final season: we were in the lowest league it was actually possible for a men's 3rd team to be in, but we busted our way out by winning every single game! I was the only player to play every match of the season, variously at left-back and centre-back.

I also played a bit of squash and badminton.

At uni, I played floorball (like Unihoc) for a couple of seasons, in which I was goalkeeper for the uni team but also did a cracking impression of a tenacious left-winger in training when I was too injured to kneel in goals and have balls pelted at me!

How long have you been playing korfball?

I've been korfing for 3 and a bit years (since October 2005), most of that with Oxford Uni. My korfball highlights include some of my better goals, winning my three 2nd team Varsity matches, winning OKA Division 2 and reaching the OKA Cup Final.

If you were an animal, what would you be?

A "demon weasel", apparently: due to my perhaps excessive levels of tenaciousness.

What is your favourite song?

Impossible to pick an all-purpose best song, but my prime pre-match psych-up song is Stronger by Kanye West.

What is your favourite band?

Pink Floyd. If there were a "favourite album", it would easily be The Wall.

What is your favourite film or TV show?

Spooks is being thoroughly awesome but a smidgen too dramatic for my comfort! Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Mock The Week and the US version of Whose Line Is It Anyway? are all superb. And the Apprentice. Oh and I'm working my way through Stargate SG-1, which is much fun.

On a night out, you are most likely to...

...spend in the region of 2 hours drinking my first pint. (Subsequent pints take about half as long as the previous one...)

Do you love Marmite or hate Marmite?

I am under the impression that I hate it, but I'm not fully certain I've ever eaten it!

What are the three favourite places you have visited?

1. Vancouver: flying out to Vancouver Island by float plane and then going whale-watching was an obvious highlight!
2. Mosel Valley: castles, river, walking and Riesling wine
3. Florida: I do love theme parks

What super power would you like?

Teleportation: moving around is such a hassle. (I would promise not to use it in korfball)

Goals

13 goals in total.
