MK City - End of Season Appearance and Goal Chart for OKA
We are the Champions!
MK City won our first league title on 11th April 2010, finishing the Oxfordshire Korfball Association Division 2 with a records of 11 Wins, 3 Draws and 1 Loss. In the process we scored a lot of goals and used 22 different players from our family of clubs (MK City is the lead club and we all have one committee but we train on different nights - for OKA we are all City).
Read the attached article for a list of the players and the goals they scored. There is also a bit of analysis too. You are welcome to use your calculator to check through them.
Congratulations to all that put on the City shirt this season. A huge thank you to our awesome leader, Captain Green. She would have been top of the goal scoring charts if she had taken the penalities!
And thank you to the OKA for allowing to play and develop in their league. And thank you to all our opponents for pushing us and playing in such good spirit.
A full season report from the mind of Emma and possibly another from coach Darren will follow in the next few weeks.

City Nearly There in OKA But Slip Up In SMKA
MK City closed in to touching distance on the Oxfordshire Korfball Association Division 2 (OKA2) title at the weekend without even playing.
Meanwhile in the South Midlands Korfball Association League it was mixed fortunes. City recorded three wins but a crucial loss to close rivals Bucks 2 has made it very difficult for City to do the double.

Party Party Party
The Roos like to go out and party. There are two nights coming up for all to enjoy.
It is Vixter's birthday celebrations on 3rd April and Darren's on 1st May. Which one is the older?

SMKA End of Season Party & Awards

All players from all clubs are invited. There will be a few awards, some drinking and lots of fun.
Summer Tournaments 2010
Here comes the summer (hopefully a warm one).
MK City and our family of clubs have many invites to play in ourdoor tournaments. These are great fun. We get to play 7 or 8 short matches against opposition from around the country and abroad. The tournaments are pretty relaxed but give a great chance to learn from and compete against some top players. We get to sit around in the sun, eat Haribo and allsorts, sing a few songs and gossip. In the evening there is usually a bbq and a party.
We will decide which tournaments we attend at a committee meeting in the next few weeks and then start signing people up. If you have a preference speak to your club captain or coach or a committee member.
